Updating your name and goals
What you can edit on the Profile page: display name, target band, current band, test timeline, focus skill, and your reason for taking IELTS.
Last updated: September 30, 2026
What the Profile page holds
From top to bottom, the Profile page shows:
- Your account card: photo, name, email, and when you joined (Member since).
- Your study: how many different practices you have done (Practices), total questions (Questions), average accuracy (Avg accuracy), and total study time (Study time). The Progress link on this card opens the full breakdown.
- IELTS goals: your targets and study plan.
- Links to Practice history (every session you finished, with its report) and Reported questions (the questions you have reported).
If you are still using Xplodia as a guest, the account card is replaced by a Save your progress prompt with a Sign up button. See Trying Xplodia without an account.
Changing your display name
Click Edit name, change it, and press Save. This is the name clubs and your teachers see. Your email follows the Google account you sign in with, so it cannot be changed here.
Changing your study goals
Click Edit on the IELTS goals card. There are five things you can change, each picked from the same list of options as during onboarding:
- Target band, the band you are aiming for, from 5.0 to 9.0.
- Current band, your current IELTS band, or Not yet if you have never taken the test.
- Test date, when you plan to sit the test, such as In 2-3 months or Not sure yet.
- Focus skill, the skill you want to tackle first: Reading, Listening, Speaking, or Writing.
- Reason, your main reason for taking IELTS.
Press Save goals to keep your changes. Change them whenever you need to: study plans are supposed to move, and the numbers are more useful when they match your current situation. Your target band also appears at the top of the Progress page.
Dio uses them to tailor its help
The card reads Dio uses these to tailor its help. Your target band, current band, test timeline, and focus skill are read by Dio when it answers your questions.
Your other onboarding answers, such as the days and times you usually study, cannot be changed from this page.
There are no paid plans
Xplodia currently has no subscriptions, invoices, or payment methods. A free account already gives you unlimited practice sessions, so there is nothing about plans for you to manage.
